Psychological horror VR experience, UNITY
BOBBY IS MISSING
*ring ring*
“Hello there…”
“…me and my child were shopping at your store yesterday…”
“…I think we might have left a backpack there, could you please check? Bobby… it was called…”
Bobby is Missing is a VR horror game that explores themes of memory and psychological entrapment.
The player takes on the role of a children’s clothing store employee who receives a call about a forgotten backpack. As they encounter mysterious items, they must solve puzzles to uncover a hidden plot twist.
UX/UI design
The game's interface is designed for an intuitive experience, allowing players to freely move around, pick up, and carry discovered objects.
The design focuses on creating an emotionally resonant experience, featuring personal artifacts from the creator’s childhood—photos, diary entries, and found objects.
Each element in the game, such as the backpack, keys, CD mixes, and mannequins, was 3D-modeled based on the creator’s childhood photos.
User Experience
In initial tests, users spent an average of 10 minutes immersed in the VR experience, exploring and interacting with the environment.
The setting and interactive elements deeply engaged players, with many finding the experience impactful, regardless of whether they uncovered the plot twist.
In developing Bobby is Missing, I aimed to create not just a game, but an experience that reflects the complexity of memory and how we can be haunted by our past.
